A pair of flared denim pants with an uneven gold wax coating released in AW03, whilst Naoki Takizawa was still chief designer. The legs are each constructed out of super long 2 inch wide strips of denim that are folded/wrapped around showing both the inside and outside of the denim and then stitched into shape, this folding pattern varies from the front to back.
Taking a look at the inside of the pants you can see how complicated the pattern really is, parts of the denim strips are left unstitched to act as air vents to counteract the thickness of all the stacked layers.
